Another edict issued from the City Manager's office that actually tells you nothing !

Was There A Commission Meeting on 10/24/05 ?

Read the below web site notice carefully.   Do you see a telephone number to City Hall ?    This web site posting was put up some time -- maybe Saturday --- so how can it be changed, or how can one find out --- as directed in the notice --- if you can't find out if City Hall is open or closed, and if the meeting was to be held ?

It tells a person to contact City Hall to find out about a commission meeting, scheduled for Monday evening, whether the meeting is to be held or NOT !    Now, if City Hall is closed who would answer the phone, or even change the web site the only city web site in Seminole County not available on Monday.

Did the City Manager pull the plug on the site along with not publishing a non-existent phone number ?    If he had even posted the City Hall telephone number along with ALL the other numbers he had posted --- who would have answered the phone?     Just another example of the continuing story of city management blunders.

City of Winter Springs garbage pickup has been cancelled for Monday, October 24, 2005.

There is ONLY one place the above is even posted ---- the City web site --- again - which was the ONLY City web site in Seminole County not operating.    Where is the City Hall phone number listed above with all the other telephone numbers.      Even the Parks & Recreation phone number is listed.    That's so they can inform their commercial customers of possible interruptions of their league activities.

This writer, along with known associates were able to access the other City web sites for current active storm information while the City of Winter Springs COMPLETELY closed down.    So much for their storm warning efforts to their citizens.    The Seminole County, Orange County, Orlando, and Winter Park sites were also checked and found to be functional.    McLemore needed the day off !

The taxpayers of Winter Springs have probably forked over a million dollars for the inept communications system in Winter Springs, and now the City Manager wants more.     The best communications available in this City would to be hire a good responsible City Manager.    The current city manger is too involved with his developer buddies to handle the needs of this small city.
