        Emailer -- thanks for sending this to us.    Yes, we have visited their web site and saw the link, but thought that it just pertained to the NEW service taxes put on your water bill.     How many of you knew this?     Yes, they cleverly raised your water bills to reflect a new  10% service tax now added to your water bill.     Not only do they sell you the water, they charge for sending it to you, for taking it back for recycling, the sewage system, charge for storm water drainage (a laugh), but now a service tax (the maximum allowed by State law) for THEIR SERVICES.  

            So, your taxes on your water bill contain every conceivable tax they can apply to provide you a service that your City taxes were suppose to pay for when you became a resident of Winter Springs.       Not only do they tax you for their water, and services --- now they add an EXTRA 10% on water used in irrigation.     The City of Winter Springs has never in the last eight years found a tax they don't like --- they need the money!  

            The last time PFGG reported a "water situation" to you it pertained to a fine issued by the State of Florida for not filing another document outlining a water problem.     The City tried to hide that one.     City Manager  McLemore doesn't like adverse publicity.

            Like we've told you in the past, the City needs every dime it can flush out of its' citizens to pay for their "Tiny Town", and ALL their aggressive annexations in order to provide services to people who never paid a dime in City taxes.      It's like betting on a lame horse in the Kentucky Derby!
