Michael  Blake  on  Campaign  Finance  and  his  City's  Laws !,

 Lesson #1

( Emails received at the bottom of the page. )

How to Be a Slime-Ball Politician

Look at the direct result of the city's infamous commercial vehicle ordinance and waste services contract.    These two Del-Air vans (see the other one behind the mandatory and expensive Waste Pro cans) are now blue tarped like a hurricane-damaged roof to hide the commercial lettering.     Isn't this a sight to behold?     We are sure citizens are appreciative of the efforts of Mayor John Bush, city manager McLemore,  Commissioners Michael Blake, Robert Miller, Sally McGinnis, Joanne Krebs, and Don Gilmore to bring us their beautification ---- VILLAGE GAWK ---- project.

However, the trail of these failed ordinances is now leading directly to Michael Blake's shoulders and campaign finance account.

 1) Michael Blake is protecting Del-Air commercial vans after having accepted a
$500 contribution from Del-Air on August 11, 2006.    Del-Air has been using several western Winter Springs neighborhoods as its huge commercial vehicle storage lot, because it is too cheap to rent a nearby storage facility for workers to park the corporate-owned vans.    Code enforcement has done little to remove the Del-Air vans that are multiplying like rabbits in springtime.

 2) Michael Blake is protecting Waste Pro after accepting a
campaign contribution from the waste giant. These waste cans have been the nightmare of every mandatory homeowners' association in Winter Springs, and obviously are always allowed to sit on the public right-of-ways all over the city 24/7 (this photo was taken on a Saturday night).      Yes, you can't park a commercial vehicle on your property and you can't park a motor vehicle on the street, but you can park one of these ugly bus size cans in your driveway or the street.     Logic in city hall is dead.     Michael Blake leads the way for failed logic.

 3) Michael Blake campaign signs are all over the right-of-ways in neighborhoods but code enforcement just drives by and doesn't pick up the illegally placed signs.     Some signs are in the right-of-ways in front of city staff homes ----  so much for knowing your own city's employer's laws.

 4) Code enforcement probably is passing these waste cans and illegally placed campaign signs by because its police chief gave Michael Blake a campaign contribution.      Sorry but it is true.

Stay tuned, Michael Blake's Campaign Finance, Lesson #2.    It is the gifts that keep on giving.

This is a good email.    A website visitor who HAS been paying attention !

I have a question.     I found your website asking a question about the employment of the Winter Springs Commissioner Blake.    Blake is quoted in the news media as being the vice president of "Gallagher Benefit Services Inc.".     When checking their website I found the following ---

Gallagher Benefit Services Inc.

Itasca, Illinois

Norbert Chung -- Executive Vice President, Western Region

James J. Murray -- Executive Vice President Technical Support and Compliance

Angelo H. Nardi -- Vice President

John Neumaier -- Vice President, South Central Region

Keith D. Wilcoxson -- Vice President, Acquisitions

Bill Ziebell -- Executive Vice President, North Central Region

David M. Ziegler -- Executive Vice President, Eastern Region

I called them and asked to speak to Vice President Michael Blake.   The lady said there was not anyone by that name.    Can you tell us if Blake is playing the same game he did when he was first elected?     You had written about what he had in the Tuscawilla Today during his first campaign.

( PFGG is just as puzzled as you are, and it would seem the news media really hasn't done their job. )
