who were the finalists in the rigged THOA election ?
did the tuscawilla homeowners association election ---
under current board of directors - malfunction - again --- rig another election?
Were blank ballots used to fill in the needed votes to elect the Khemlani chosen few?
Why weren't the winners announced at a meeting called to read off names of the winners?
For the first time in the history did a non-Winter Springs resident (anointed by Khemlani) win a seat on the Board of Directors?
The current Tuscawilla Homeowners' Association board members could actually be the downfall of the Tuscawilla Beautification District, because of the blunder committed by the "anointed-for-life" board member Khemlani. The THOA board has no idea what they did, or failed to do, or what they've done -- unless it's intentional. Do you know?
far be it that PFGG would reveal this blunder ---
let the THOA Board members suffer at the hands of those whom they've conned!
Commissioner Gennell was present, and gave a speech at this Tuscawilla Homeowners election meeting where one of the members of the Gennell/Martinez/Miller coalition sits on the board of directors. Were there any references to City business? Do the two Commissioners present have City voting powers on the issues?
the answer to the above --- YES !
The turnout for this event was as usual heavy --- there must have been about twenty people, of which the Board consists of nine. Oh yes, Commissioner Gennell, a Wildwood resident, was also present. After all, it is election time in the City, and Commissioner Martinez probably invited her for moral support --- if that's possible.
City Commissioner Gennell even stated she was going to give the City a dog. Commissioner Martinez, of the THOA board, would have to vote on that issue. Isn't this all a violation of the sunshine law? This is a typical Gennell election time "arf-arf"!
One can sure tell when it's election time in the Tuscawilla Homeowners' Association ---- everyone has to go back to school to learn the Khemlani new math system.
Because of the apathy of the residents of Tuscawilla, they deserved exactly what they got ---- an uncontrollable tax assessment district -- managed by a Homeowners' Association with almost $200,000 dollars in their treasury. The Northern Way residents can't even get decent stop sign poles --- such as those on Winter Springs Blvd. Moti Khemlani says there isn't any money left!
Shame --- shame --- on you! you elected your officials!

the big rig !
Several years ago, when Moti Khemlani was president of the THOA, he conducted one of the most corrupt elections ever held in the history of the Homeowners Association. There were twelve members on the ballot for the selection of nine to serve on the board. The proxy for this writer was in the hands of a member, who attended the meeting, to cast not only his ballot, but to also include the proxy vote.
Khemlani had ALL nine of his selected current board members on the ballot. He opened one ballot that contained ALL nine of his current board members and only those nine. He than declared since ALL nine of the current members had received a vote the election WAS CLOSED! Yes, it did happen --- there were witnesses to this "rigged" election. Is this a reason to suspect a dictatorship?
Now, once again, is Khemlani up to his old tricks of rigging the election? The method he will use is printed on the front page of the August "Tuscawilla Today". It is as follows ----
" --- our nominating committee "shall present the names of SUITABLE prospective directors to the Association ------ ".
Does this mean if the "nominating committee" doesn't think a person is suitable, that party will be removed from the ballot as a prospective THOA director? "Suitable" is very subjective. Who decides who is suitable? Any member of the Association should be given the opportunity to serve on the board. There could be members who would like the chance to change policy, or present new ideas. However, they are kept off the Board for very self-serving reasons on the part of Khemlani and company.
This is third world politics ---
not American democracy !

*** special note ***
INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW....
Now that the Tuscawilla Homeowners Association no longer has to maintain the front entrance, have you wondered where your $25.00 dues are spent?
Surely, it must be that they are using it in Tuscawilla --- WRONG !
The 12-page color insert, heralding the City of Winter Springs, which was included with the August, 2002 issue of the Tuscawilla Today, was paid for with your dues. This is way beyond the Association's purview. It is not their place to use your dues to publicize and abet the City of Winter Springs' development. We think the Board of Directors owes its members an explanation.
Recently, your dues also paid for the formation of a Political Action Committee for the Dyson Drive Annexation, to the tune of $5,000. Your President, Marvin Warner and your Secretary, Moti Khemlani were officers of that PAC.
Is this why your dues were raised to $25.00 ?
That's a question that needs answering!
about time --- the cost overruns were horrendous !
Tuscawilla Homeowners Association's Moti Khemlani is removed from the "Tuscawilla Beautification Advisory Committee Board" by the City of Winter Springs !
editors note
At the June 24th Commission meeting, Moti Khemlani replayed his accusations against Gene Lein. He brought up 7-year-old issues. He continued to dredge up ancient history concerning Mr. Lein's service to the City. Also, in his remarks was a veiled threat to anyone who would disagree with the Commission/City Manager and the THOA. Mr. Khemlani thinks only he has the right of free speech and association. He also threatened the group, Concerned Citizens of Winter Springs. His arrogance knows no bounds!
GENE LEIN'S RESPONSE TO KHEMLANI'S STALE COMPLAINTS
The following remarks were delivered before the winter springs Commission at their meeting of July 8th, by Gene Lein.
As a member of THOA, I was taken completely by surprise when Moti Khemlani, speaking for the titular head of the Tuscawilla Homeowner's Association, (I really love that word...titular head...where does he come up with those words?), chose City Hall to thank me for my fine work as a good citizen and a hard-working member of various Boards.
Moti Khemlani, whose time could be running out with the THOA, hasn't really recovered from the $4,000.00 fine he received from the State of Florida for his election irregularities, when he ran for City Commissioner against John Langelotti--and lost. But, that's in the past. Something he doesn't talk about much. He has selective memory.
I want to thank him for the fine words about me and what I have done for the City of Winter Springs. (Holding up a copy of the Tuscawilla Today--now that it's in paperback, everyone can read about it.)
( PUBLISHER'S NOTE: You can probably obtain a copy of the above referenced Tuscawilla Today by calling THOA members Warner -- titular head -- at 365-6877 or Khemlani at 365-7992. )
When the City imposed the illegal vote count for the Tuscawilla Lighting and Beautification District, I felt obligated, as a concerned citizen, to bring this effort to a halt. The class action suit, brought by Mr. Lenzini and myself, and supported by over 500 residents who signed a petition against the TLBD, brought victory in the Circuit Court. Those petitions were presented to the Commission at the August 9, 1999 meeting and were mysteriously "lost". The City of Winter Springs decided to sue the citizens of this City in the Supreme Court of Florida to overturn our victory. This is what cost the residents of Tuscawilla $250,000 ---- not Lein and Lenzini.
Moti said I was the only one on earth who ever complained about THOA meeting signs. The only thing I can say there, is that any Court on earth would say that they violated the codes of the City. I even offered to pick up the signs on the way home from the Commission meeting. It was nothing more than a good citizen helping the City.
As for my wife, Jackie, I'm proud of the work she is doing. She, too, cares about Winter Springs. You will recall when Commissioner Martinez accused People For Good Government of putting out lies in a flyer that was sent to all the residents, she came before you with every bit of documentation from City, County and State files, to disprove his statements. The complaining stopped, didn't it? My wife does not lie, and she would not be a part of any organization that lied.
Moti said the titular head of the PFGG (there's that word again...don't you just love it?) and myself were cheerleaders at John Gouvruhk's dinner. Yes, we were there...by invitation. City employees, standing Board members and some members of the public were given written invitations to attend. I just don't remember having pom-poms with me that night. I doubt that few people remember Mr. Gouvruhk, and Moti's reference to him escapes explanation.
As for being appointed to the P&Z Board (Planning and Zoning) by Commissioner John Ferring --- Moti will not admit that there would be homes on parcels 7 and 8 of the Tuscawilla Country Club if I hadn't been on that Board.
I brought the proposed development to a halt when the owner presented his preliminary engineering plans before the P&Z Board. There were plenty of problems. The question then went to the Commission and the matter ended. If some of you can remember, this was the beginning of the end of Frank Kruppenbacher (City Attorney). I guess I can take credit for that, too.
So, because Commissioner John Ferring appointed me, good things took place. (Kind of like fate) --- Sort of like the movie, "It's a Wonderful Life" --- you know how it went --- if Jimmy Stewart didn't save his brother from the icy water --- his brother couldn't have saved all those troops on the ship --- or the Savings and Loan would have been taken over by Mr. Potter. So, maybe we should be thanking Commissioner John Ferring, instead of criticizing him.
Again, thanks to Moti for bringing forth my actions -----
