McLemore had a sure vote on his pay raise !
This old friend of ex-Commissioner Gennell, who had been appointed to more City Boards in one year than most citizens serve on in a life time, issued the below statement as was published in the Moti Khemlani infamous "Tuscawilla Today" !
McGinnis, among several appointed to the City Manager's politically motivated selection committee for City Manager, back in the mid-ninety's made her choice, and didn't even know the background of the man selected. The committee asked no questions of background informational checks, who had performed them, nor the method of obtaining the substance of a background check.
They weren't suppose to --- they were given their choice by the Commissioners at the time, with references made by the then current City Attorney, who had performed a sham as to the background check of Mr. McLemore. Even his resume, if thoroughly checked, would have revealed well hidden flaws. Some were so obvious, but the resume was never checked.
The selection was a sham of misinformation, as provided from a one-way method that even resulted in the seating of a "fill-in" City Attorney. That happened when a newly elected Mayor tried to get rid of the attorney who had been part of the cover-up.
The current Commission, if they'd had to make a selection three years ago for a new City Manager, would have even approved a "Rohit Joshi" if he had applied. They would be as gullible and ignorant as they are today of the TRUE facts, which have cost the taxpayers of Winter Springs millions of dollars!
