is this the appreciation of property values Khemlani and the city conned the voters into believing?
pfgg was called to check in on an undisclosed construction project. it was discovered there were no plans, or permit posted ( see picture below ) in the proper location outlining the construction.
it was known that the ORIGINAL DESIGN called for this wall to be built on an abandoned bridle path. thanks to Khemlani and the THOA, the path is nothing --- but a short barren strip of asphalt!
pfgg went to city hall and found no permit had ever been issued, nor were there any drawings in the files showing this project. mike sheraldi, inspector, told us no inspection could take place, because there was --- no permit on file or issued.
we were then told by George Edwards, the city's capital projects coordinator, that no permit was required. that seemed very strange since the wall, landscaping, and irrigation had plans and permits posted at the site. this too was questioned!
the very day pictures were taken, this driveway was almost completed. Pictures were taken on September the 25th, and the next day --- after the work had been completed.
what happened next was pure cya !
look what was posted the very next day at the construction project site !

when mr. Edwards was confronted, the same day, all he could say was ----- "YOU CAUGHT US" !
so, the driveway was built without a permit or construction inspection, and nothing posted at the site. the city once again caved in to the desires of Khemlani and his THOA. They wanted to please a neighbor with your money! is everyone going to use this driveway? you paid for it.
remember -- this project will benefit ALL TUSCAWILLA residents !
remember the wall was to be built SOUTH of this property owners lot -- on the bridle path. there is proof of this initial site plan, because it was discussed in the TLBD advisory committee meeting at great length. George Edwards, of the city, even made a statement to that effect.
here's your $14,000 dollar driveway !
the picture above shows the narrow spacing between the existing and new driveway. the red pylon is located at the new culvert ( two of these were installed ). notice the short distance between the two driveways. enough room for the mailbox and two/three garbage cans.
the above picture shows the horseshoe driveway and the vast space between the entrance ways. the existing driveway can be seen on the right of the pylon on the right side of the picture.
the vehicle pictured to the right is on Shetland road at the approximate spot where the original wall site was planned. why this was changed, and how much it cost was never made public. the advisory committee has free use of your tax assessment money.
this is an open-ended misuse of your money. this entire beautification project has drastic problems. will the THOA tell you the truth in their "TUSCAWILLA today"?
the obvious answer is a great big -- NO! they wouldn't be able to handle the criticism from their limited membership, and limited recipients of their mailed "TUSCAWILLA Today" !
oh well, you just pay $110.00/year from here to eternity, because if you think it is going to end in 30 years ----- you've got another thought coming !
the THOA will have over three-quarters of a million dollars of your money in their property improvements alone. do you think they will pay for maintenance at the end of the bond ?
the answer --- no !
