Now that you have read the article from the Seminole Chronicle on a preceding page,
[ here ] look what was written in the Orlando Sentinel on March 12th.
Special Email & "UPSET" (Tax paid) contract -- bottom of the page.

It was Winter Springs commissioner Michael Blake that viciously attacked the Oviedo Council member Bob Dallari after the Oviedo presentation on the JAP (Joint Agency Planning) plan during a Winter Springs commission meeting. Now commissioner Blake, whose time has run out in Winter Springs, along with running again for office Mayor Bush, wants to serve on the same County Commission. Is this so he can further his harassment of zoning, annexation, and intra-City agreements.
There was the imaginary "line-drawn-in-the-sand", in which promises were broken again and AGAIN. First line was SR417 the Greenbelt -- the next was Battle Ridge aka Belfair -- now Barrington Estates. The City of Winter Springs Commission and City Manager were not use to keeping their promises. That imaginary line now abutted the City of Oviedo for vast aggressive annexation plans.
( Read a VERY important email just received at the bottom of this page.)
This is another "line-in-the-sand". The City of Winter Springs already has violated the FIRST line they presented to Oviedo. Who in the world would be naive enough to believe these liars again? It becomes very hard to even consider the next moves the City of Winter Springs may make. After all, all is said about the commission --- but City Manager controls these commissioners and mayor.
They're, once again, his personal "lapdogs". It is in the best interests of the City of Winter Springs to commit these "lapdogs" to their home kennels in the next election!
YOUR WINTER SPRINGS CITY COMMISSION
Distrustful... YES Manipulable.... YES Egomania... YES Self-centered... YES
VOTERS -- Isn't It Time To Vote For a Person --
NOT POLITICAL MONEY & POWER ?

Another IMPORTANT email received !
(The figure spent on the City lawsuit against the County keeps on growing -- NOW OVER $300,000 dollars ! )
I just read this and I am sorry to say that PFGG left out some important numbers from the Black Hammock debacle. Typically, PFGG is so good about reporting numbers, but the numbers would have been hard for anyone to find. I think Winter Springs’ taxpayers will be “happy” to know that they spent well over $50,000 for the City Commission to draw an imaginary line in the sand. I know for sure that $50,000 was paid to Wallace Roberts & Todd LLC out of Coral Gables for its services to draft the “historical” East Rural Area Property Owner’s Committee Report.
The City of Winter Springs entered into a contract with this Coral Gables firm back in March 8, 2005. The $50,000 “upset limit” contract was supposed to be completed within 6 months of signing, but we can see it went on much longer than that. So for sure, additional expenses had to have been incurred by Wallace Roberts & Todd for exceeding the time limit. What is more disturbing is what is not encapsulated in this contract.
**** (Link to the
contract.) ****
That would be all the time and money for city staff and the city attorney to handhold and coddle the East Rural Property Owners’ Committee for about one year. If only Winter Springs’ citizens were treated with such interest and respect as this committee of non-citizens. I think taxpayers deserve a full accounting of ALL costs associated with the City’s historic line drawing in the sand.
I would think taxpayers have an “upset limit” too ---- after they find out how much of their money was spent on a year long process that resulted in the City Commission doing what it was asked to do YEARS AGO by Oviedo and Seminole County but refused to do.
Thanks emailer -- you're right -- we DIDN'T have this information.
The City Manager gave the design contract for "Tiny Town" to another Coral Gables firm.
Oh yes --- that was just another of his NO BID contracts !
