Also, neither the City Manager, nor the Mayor has revealed the usage, or balance of the "Hidden Tax Fund" collected under the name of "The BFI Performance Fund". That's a tax --- are they running scared on this issue? They have never informed the public it was collected as a tax, while it has been used as a tax!
Isn't there a saying about something called "Taxation Without Representation?

The facts are out there, but in truth --- the City of Winter Springs Commission is blessed with the lack of news coverage. The items published in the TAX PAID City news letter is carefully scrutinized, and FACTUAL information, detrimental to the Citizens of Winter Springs, is deliberately omitted.

The City hasn't been telling you the truth for the past seven years. Over a month ago the Mayor said he was going to get to the bottom of the "HIDDEN TAX --- SLUSH FUND" ! To this date still NO answer from the Mayor, or City Manager. |

The citizens of Winter Springs, therefore, have NOT been told the truth about the taxes they have been paying the City. Yet Commissioners brag about being the lowest tax base in the County. NOT TRUE ! |

Another big shocker is the converting of property to "multi-high density" use. The City needs to pack in the people to keep their "Tiny Town" (TownCenter) afloat. |

Other rezoning measures have been taken to eliminate "light" commercial use to a higher tax base of "heavy" industrial usage. The City needs the revenue to replace the millions of dollars used in the building of "Tiny Town", and to offset the questionable usage of sales and road taxes in that development at the expense of the taxpayers. It is well known that over $12,000,000 million dollars of tax money was used by the City just to start this development. |

A good example of the zoning changes is found in the frontage property along SR434 residential areas such as Parkstone, Stone Gable, and eventually Winding Hollow. Tuscawilla Road, and the easterly boundaries of SR434 will suffer the same growth pattern. Even the City's eagles have to move. |
There really is a lot of news not being reported even to attendees at City Commission meetings. The Commission agendas are often misleading. The information being discussed on the dais oft times contains materials not revealed to the visiting public. Those documents, of which some are made available, are not always available to study in time for the meetings.
Some of the agenda items are not even published on the tax paid web site until the very last moment. The City Manager doesn't want certain information to be available. People might want to look in at depth on certain issues, and research the actions proposed. Most of these have already been passed behind closed doors. That's no secret, or why else would they make the paperwork so inconvenient ? That's the City Manager's game plan.
That omission of material by city management, therefore, eliminates any opposition in the public format, which is precisely timed to three minutes for the public to speak. Yet, Commissions and City staff ramble on for hours.
