HAS THE WINTER SPRINGS CITY MANAGEMENT HIT A NEW LOW ?

            In a memo uncovered, it has been found that the Rachel's Restaurant & Lounge is alive and once again doing well, if one is to believe the memo generated by City Manager McLemore of Winter Springs.    This is no joke folks!    Are the department heads and City Clerk's Offices to respond to a request by the City Manager to parallel their "GOALS ACHIEVEMENT" workshop agenda format based upon the operations of a "strip club"?

            Could the mentality of the generated memo show a personal observation of the operations of such a club?    The memo (attached to this page) is coming from the same office that was aware of a sexual harassment situation within City Hall that took over two years to expose.

            Not only was the management of the City aware of the sexual harassment situation, but rewarded the individual with not only a raise, but allowed the individual to remain as a City employee until the exposure of the actions was revealed.   People For Good Government uncovered that episode, and published the documents that showed that the City Manager was aware of the of such actions.    It was only after that publication that the individual was allowed to resign his position with the City Manager's blessings.

            Is this current memo within the City the mind set of the individual who issued it, or are there other motives behind the memo?    First and foremost, citizens should be aware that this particular workshop is to be conducted at an additional expense to the taxpayer, because the City doesn't have a qualified person in its employment that could run such a workshop.   

          Consequently, a consultant (the same one used for the Charter revision -- giving the City Manager questionable powers) will be paid with your taxes.   It is apparent that the memo is, in a way, a slap at the Mayor for suggesting such a thing.     Shouldn't the Mayor have the right to ask what the City's Departments' goals are?

            Is it that the City Manager doesn't have the qualifications to chair such a workshop?    Or is his main goal that of his salary, and golden parachute pension plan?     After all, he hasn't even negotiated his 2002 contract yet!    He needs his pension ploy  for more financial gain.

            What is very strange about his memo is that he didn't copy the Mayor or Commissioners of the City of Winter Springs.     Does that mean they have no goals set for the City?    This workshop was the "MAYOR'S" idea.    Is McLemore trying to embarrass the Mayor?      Or is the City Manager embarrassed, because his only goal is to keep his hands in the taxpayers' pocket?     He sure knows how to spend the taxpayers' money along with his rubber stamp Commission.

            The juvenile, inappropriate memo is further evidence that the City Manager cannot resist acting sophomoric.
