winter  springs  caught  and  fined !

the  city  fails  to  file  correct  water  reports !

or

why did the city manager hide the reports, and how was the fine paid if it never went before the city commission ?

(And now another water problem -- click [ HERE ] )

was this caused by the OVER BUILDING of water and sewerage lines into future anticipated annexation areas at the expense of the service to existing customers ?

whoa --- look what came in --- BAD  WATER  LINES ?

email received  --- writer wished to remain anonymous !

Those of us who live in the low rent district are boiling water.    Had another major leak, and been without water all day. and now boiling for 48 hours.   What is interesting is when talking to one of  the workers he said the systems is old and crumbly and going to get worse.    I think it's interesting that the water and sewer systems is falling apart, and ----

Commissioner  Miller  wants  to  build  a  9.8 million  dollar  swimming  pool !

Guess  I  better  buy  some  buckets  to  dip  the  water  out  of  miller's  swimming  pool.

PUBLISHER'S NOTE:   Remember --- this is the commission that use your taxes to build extra large water, and sewerage lines to property NOT EVEN IN THE CITY !   They don't care about your OLD DILAPIDATED water lines --- that hadn't been upgraded for YEARS .   They want to ANNEX PROPERTY to the East of the Beltway !

Region 4 Enters into a Consent Agreement and Final Order with the City of Winter Springs, Florida, Settling Clean Water Act Violations

On January 23, 2003, the Regional Judicial Officer finalized a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO), settling violations of Section 405 of the Clean Water Act (CWA). The CAFO requires the City of Winter Springs (City) to pay a penalty of $7,200.

The City owns and operates two publicly owned treatment works (POTWs) in Winter Springs, Florida. These POTWs generate sludge which is regulated under Section 405 of the CWA. The City failed to submit timely annual sludge reports for 3 calendar years. EPA and the City conferred and agreed to resolve the violations pursuant to 40 Code of Federal Regulations Part 22.18 to simultaneously commence and conclude the matter.
