voters  can't  read ?

According to Winter Springs City Attorney Anthony Garganese, we voters don’t know how to read an amendment which was placed on the ballot by the County.     Since the referendum language was in English, we cannot fathom why he would make such a statement!

Is this another case of “Big Brother” government knowing what’s best for us?     It seems that, since over 56% of the County voters passed this amendment, they must have understood what they were voting for.

People are getting tired of all the green lands being cemented over for the almighty tax dollar.   Why were there such flooding problems after the series of hurricanes?   Could it be that all the cement kept the water from going into the ground, and subsequently flooded out many homes?

The arrogance of the Winter Springs government shines through again in the text of the Seminole Chronicle article of November 19th.    The Mayor of Oviedo also took some heat from a voter.    The Oviedo Council refused to back Mayor Walters’ motion for Oviedo to back Winter Springs in their fight against the amendment.

Oviedo City Council passed a resolution to back the County in this matter.  Mayor Walters has refused to sign it.  Since when does the Winter Springs government influence another City’s government?    This does not sit well with the Oviedo voters, and one resident has asked for Mayor Walters’ resignation.
