BLAKE  CAMPAIGN  FLYER  RESPONSES !

The emails were becoming just too heavy with remarks of the much different contents of the Blake campaign flyers as his citing examples of his extreme over bloated claims, and great accomplishments as a reigning "ten year" city commissioner in the City of Winter Springs.    Any one following the activities of the Winter Springs McLemore lead "Rat Pack" elected officials have to be astonished at all the political "hot air" being expounded by it's current officials running for offices.

The below emails are the continuing responses of people who DO know the difference.    Our initial page has become too large, so we are therefore adding this additional page with some of the spill over and new emails.    The email below was sitting in our email early this AM, and HAS to be an answer to the Blake over bloated claims.

(PUBLISHER'S NOTE:  The Blake campaign is reverting to 1990 statistics instead of citing current deplorable City of Winter Springs outlandish service taxes, and spending of which he has been a strong supporting advocate for his boss --- city manager McLemore --- leader of the "rat pack".)

Here are the emails in their ENTIRETY -- all contents are subject to the sender's knowledge !

"I hope Michael Blake reads this because his latest attack flyer written by campaign manager Christine Moore is unbelievable.

Hey Michael B., remember how the city commission lowered the tax millage for six years while still spending like there was no tomorrow, and putting the city in bond debt close to $50 million at the same time?

Hey Michael, why did you leave out of the same flyer what happened to our tax millage in 2000, and then after 2001 when the commission raised taxes by 17%.

Hey Michael why didn't you listen to citizens as you raised the millage in 2005 knowing that properties were already appreciating, and that 2006 would see more appreciation than the year before?

Hey Michael, why don't you explain to taxpayers in your all-knowing, caustic, and irritating manner (crick of the neck) that ad valorem taxes generated by property taxes are not the only way you rip off taxpayers in Winter Springs?

Why don't you tell taxpayers about all the hidden fees and taxes that citizens and business owners are faced with monthly on their utility bills that go to Winter Springs?

Why don't you mention that you voted to double the monthly storm water fee on citizens' bills, that you support the highest tax the state allows on our local phone service, and that you support taxing the very water the city provides.

Hey Michael, why don't you mention how you raised the monthly waste collection fee in return for a free dumpster on citizens' properties but still charge citizens $6 for a recycle bin?  (That charge is an endless monthly charge for that 96 gal, trash can.    That's equal to $72.00 per year times the number of years.   Expensive garbage can! )

Why are you promoting more landfill dumping instead promoting reducing waste and increasing recycling?    Was accepting a campaign contribution from Waste Pro, the city's waste collector, a reward for bringing home the deal?

How good can city services be when nobody at city hall answers the phone, the city introduces a faulty utility bill and mailing envelope, sewer water is pumped into citizens' homes, a city employee embezzles a substantial amount of cash, and batting cages are installed and then ripped out again?

Hey Michael, why don't you list out all those "respected leaders" that you say support you because most of us know that those "respected leaders" you have listed before are all part of the good ole boy network in Seminole County.    Come on Michael name names.

 Dare ya'. "

( Blake  --- with 10 YEARS behind him --- couldn't, and DIDN'T even support the above help needed for the City of Winter Springs.   Anyone endorsing the Blake campaign better cover their backsides.    This guy is on a road of self destruction with the publishing of his out-right dishonest tall tales of fictitious facts. and just down-right lies !     Blake's flyers -- packed with falsehoods -- becomes weirder with everyone of his mailings!    At least the people of Winter Springs recognize the actual facts.       Emailer -- you sure hit the "nail-on-the-head" with this revelation. )

"I just got another one of Michael Blake's insipid campaign flyers, and I can't believe the claims he is making. Funny, you don't see him talking much dollars or sense.   Let me give you an example of Michael's savvy business dealings.
Commissioner Michael Blake's past comments about the asking price of the Winter Springs Golf Course is a little perplexing and now it makes me wonder if he knows the value of anything.   Regarding the golf course Blake said, "...it also is expensive, at its $2.375 million asking price."   So, an asking price of $2.375 million for 177 acres is expensive, but paying $900,000 for the 9 acres like the City Commission purchased is not?   Blake was the person to make the motion to make a purchase offer for the Wincey property at $100,000 per acre on July 28, 2003 (Add-on Regular 40.F).
Now, here is Blake's thought on the City purchasing the Winter Springs Golf Course:   "I think it is way too early to head down this road if we head down this road at all.   Our plates are pretty full," Blake said.   "As long as I'm up here I'll work diligently to see that the city does not purchase that golf course."

He said among the pitfalls the city could face are being distracted from work on the Town Center, the Village Walk improvements on State Road 434 and other projects.    Funny, he didn't make that sort of comment when he motioned to spend $900,000.   Hey wait a second, why should we care about being distracted from the town center, isn't that a private development on private property?    Of course it is!           But, according to Michael Blake it's okay to funnel millions of taxpayer dollars into that nightmare of a strip mall to enrich one developer and one former city commissioner, but to invest in the crowning jewel of this city (Winter Springs Golf Course) to enrich all citizens' quality of life is not worth one penny by  Blake's estimation.

And to coerce his fellow commissioners, Blake used scare tactics by stating, ".... that if the city shows interest in the project, it could change the way the golf course is marketed, possibly driving away some buyers."

Blake missed the tee on this one by a long shot as he stood stubbornly against buying the golf course.   Soon after his infamous warning, a stealth California developer did happen to purchase the course on speculation once the city backed off.

Now with the golf course closed down, it has as much a chance of staying a golf course as the Winter Springs town center will ever be a town. So, what was the actual selling price of the golf course?   The buyer purchased the 177 acre course for a cool $1.2 million ---- a steal at $6,779.66 per acre.    Gees, that's over one million dollars less than the original asking price.
I say PFGG should improve upon the Seminole Chronicle's faulty grading system by giving Michael Blake a big fat "F" in Land Deals 101.   His $100,000 per acre for Wincey shows you that Blake's abilities to value property and make a deal are pitiful.    I'll take a 177 acre golf course for $1.2 million over a 9 acre parcel for $900,000 any day.   Unfortunately, it is too late for the good people of Winter Springs thanks to Michael Blake's shortsightedness.

Even at $2.375 million, buying the course would have been worth every taxpayer's penny.   Too expensive for Michael?  Even at the $2.375 million asking price it would have been $13,418.07 per acre or about $87,000 less per acre than Blake offered up per acre for Wincey.

One has to wonder how successful a businessman Michael Blake really is.    In the world of risk management, I would not take a chance in voting for Michael Blake to the county commission, it would cost citizens too much in the long run."
(Publisher's Note:   Emailer -- you must be a frustrated Winter Springs Golf Course ex-golfer, or you have analyzed the contents of this website pretty thoroughly.    However, that Wincey Property purchase has more behind it than just the cost of the land.    The Winter Springs voters have NO IDEA of the concealment of the TRUE facts of that purchase.    One can look at the progression of that deceit by just researching what the ACTUAL purchase of that property was really intended for by city management.    We will not go into further detail on that issue for it would detract from the TRUE FACTS pointed out in your email, which is presented in the contents of your email.   Sorry to tell you -- you can kiss that golf course  GOODBYE   --- look for a miniature golf course surrounded by McLemore's high density developments.    Thanks for your excellent email --- write us  again  with your thoughts!

PFGG has published only one of the Blake campaign flyers.    His campaign has found a need to flood the mails with almost daily hordes of these flyers each containing even worse statistics and information than those previously mailed.     It seems as a campaign to attack by using unfounded, over stated, dated information that has nothing to do with the political climate of the activities of today's County needs.

He continues to use the quiche' -- "The Blake Plan" -- when in essence the Blake plan, so to speak, is already one that has BEEN APPROVED for future County projects.    How can one plan for something that is already a done deal?    That is just  a far fetched  reaching in hoping the average citizen on the street is not aware of what is transpiring around them as to the usage of future land development and road projects.
