The Strange Property transaction !
What every Winter Springs voter should know before Election Day.
Did Incumbent John Bush used the Office of Mayor for his own financial gain in a real estate transaction that abused your tax dollars and your trust in an elected official ?
SPECIAL ELECTION INSERT --- The "Heckler".
At the Tuscawilla Homeowner Association's candidates night commissioners Blake (heckler Blake), and "Shirley" Miller continue to claim the property transaction described below is false. Evidently they can't read ! The documents are from the recorded documents at the Land Office of Seminole County. Maybe this is the reason the Winter Springs Government can't function as a government FOR the PEOPLE. They have representatives on the dais that don't believe what they see in black and white from official documents. It's funny the mayor had to "plant" these two supporters for that purpose while HE SAID NOTHING !
Blake as usual maintained his pompous self esteem with his egotistical constant heckling of candidates he didn't support. From his front row seat he continued to mumble as a characteristic of a LOSER of an election. Winter Springs -- if nothing else needs to be represented by ADULTS not a sore little cry baby having lost an election after spending almost $200,000 of other peoples money --- the largest chunks being from developers, builders, and cohorts -------- like the mayor's financial reports.
**********
That cell phone tower that Tuscawilla residents voiced a strong opinion against comes to play in the mayor's claim of becoming "one of the most respected mayors .. in history of Winter Springs", and his re-election campaign. It seems maybe the mayor SUPPORTED the move that allowed HIS country club to gain the revenue INSTEAD of the City of which he is mayor. Talking out of both sides of somebody's mouth must be the standard in City Hall ! The action had the support of not only the mayor, but commission, and city manager. They would rather for their "buddies" gain financially than the City !
Yes ---- the company ---- Vertex --- contributed to the mayor's re-election campaign.
This and other finagling actions plus damaging campaign claims has put a serious deep dent into the mayor's written words, and ego with his statement on the City's website saying that he had ---
"quickly became one of the most respected mayors in the history of Winter Springs".
What happened when -- after he had been mayor --- he lost his next election for mayor ?
(In fact after he lost the race in 1995 -- he didn't win again until 2002. So much for his history of "since 1993" campaign propaganda political line that is being passed around ! Partyka served TWO terms -- the same number that Bush is claiming gave him the -- "most respected ... in history" -- phony campaign line.)
But not bad political dialog when you're running for re-election, and have control of the taxpayers' website. Nothing like building up ones ego for his campaign purposes.
Why didn't city manager McLemore even tell the commissioners the TRUTH about that property listing, or even previous sales values of neighboring residences ?
(Anybody in that business could have found out that McLemore's statement was FALSE !)

The Facts:
On March 14, 2005, a sales contract on 118 Kristi Ann Court was signed by John Bush and two other members of the Bush family. The sales price was $86,500 – with the stipulation that “all renovations to the unit (will be) complete to buyer’s satisfaction by closing.” (Source: Seminole County Clerk of Court)
Comparable sales listings for this area since March 2005 include: $139,900 (123 Kristi Ann Court), $142,900 (133 Kristi Ann Court), $97,500 (124 Kristi Ann Court). (Source: Seminole County Property Appraisers Office)
In 2005, the City of Winter Springs spent nearly $44,000 renovating the four properties. City officials declined to provide a detailed cost breakdown. These renovations included carpentry, painting, carpeting, and other work paid for by the City and its taxpayers. (Source: City of Winter Springs)
On March 28, 2005, two weeks AFTER the sales contract was signed by John Bush, City Manager Ron McLemore requested that the City Commission approve the sale of 118 Kristi Ann Court in Moss Cove to John Bush.
During this public meeting, Mr. McLemore stated that 118 Kristi Ann Court was “multi-listed”.
A realtor with 27 years experience in Tuskawilla confirmed that 118 Kristi Ann Court was not "multi-listed" during that time. McLemore according to research, and an email from a well known local realtor -- "There was no record of this home being listed. It shows no listed history. The tax roles thru MLS will show the listed history and it shows none for this property." -- McLemore had NOT told the truth to the commission about this property.
