   The Below Proposed City Manager's Auto Accident Fees/Tax Was Soundly --- DEFEATED.  

         Isn't it strange that the other Central Florida city was Longwood?   The city manager there (John Drago) is a longtime friend of the Winter Springs city manager McLemore.     McLemore hired him as his ASSISTANT (a job never held in Winter Springs) after Drago had lost his last job as city manager of Okeechobee.  However, there was monetary inter-action between these two prior to his job loss. 

            The job was to be for six months while Drago found another job, but if wound up being over 1 1/2 years.    Birds of a feather -- flock together!     This collusive tie has become VERY  frequent between these two.    In fact the City of Winter Springs had to buy used police cars from Okeechobee while Drago was still city manager before being fired.   A another first for Winter Springs' long abuse of his office by current city manager "Ronnie" (real estate tycoon) McLemore.

            Millions of dollars of unfinished stagnant condos, apartments, and townhouses liter the landscape of the City of Winter Springs.    Even those that have been completed are almost void of owners as the aggressive buildings plans of an ill-advised city commission (by the city manager) line vast expansions of macadam streets ALREADY PAID FOR by the taxpayers of the City of Winter Springs.    Just drive to Orange Avenue behind the floundering "Tiny Town" complex on the new street void of any residential development traffic.

            But even more telling is the halting of construction of the "acclaimed" $800 million dollar "Towncenter" project renamed "Tiny Town" by vast majorities of the city's residents who have to pay for this fiasco of a blundering boondoggle.     A "glorified strip mall" as labeled by the Orlando Sentinel with the lack of sufficient parking even to support the current businesses that have ventured forward in this "micro-engineered" project shown by the ignorance of past city commissions.     It's one gigantic joke that has even drawn the attention of the American Bald Eagles as per the link provided below.

            More fantastic is the label of the $800 million dollar price tag hung by a desperate city manager to thwart away attention to his miserably mis-calculated PERSONAL project labeled "Tiny Town".    This is the same city manager who keeps dispelling and carefully hides the actual costs of the project from the unsuspecting taxpayers.    Where that $800 million dollar figure came from must be a figment of city manager McLemore's un-controlled pipe-dream mind !     It is doubted that even $80 million would even be close.   

            It is doubtful that even McLemore can find all the hidden "line-item-charges" attributed to this project with one exception -- that was McLemore's bragging to tell a Chamber of Commerce -- Oviedo -- crowd of his price the taxpayers paid for the land for this "private development" --- $12,000,00.00 million dollars without even informing the taxpayers of the city.    In this case -- he let the "tax-dollars-out-of-the-bag" in Oviedo -- NOT in Winter Springs!.

            With the above figure and all the others not fully revealed to the taxpayers of Winter Springs is it now any wonder why they are scrapping the bottom of the barrel to accumulate money for this failed towncenter by charging citizens $225 yearly fees [link] for fire service, and now the latest robbery of assessing ALL ACCIDENT (This city manger's scam was overwhelmingly DEFEATED on Monday night) insurance companies outrageous fees for "fender-benders" in this socialist city.    Thus the average driver through the city of Winter Springs may find their auto insurance (more on this latest move later) going to new heights for this socialistic move.   

Your city government -- you  citizens of Winter Springs -- is OUT-OF-CONTROL !
