Winter Springs City Manager's Ex-Buddy Involved in a Criminal Investigation ?
Rohit Joshi, whom the City Manager of Winter Springs gave a key to City Hall for his use at anytime, and allowed this developer to set up an office in that public building, was the focal point of a criminal investigation in a neighboring city of Las Vegas. The newspaper article below indicates the violations. This was at least a separate building (trailer) -- not a City Hall.
Wonder why the City Attorney of Winter Springs didn't raise his eyebrows at City Manager McLemore's maneuver? Was he also, along with the commission, a part of this highly questionable move? It was questioned at the time on our website, which is in the archives (see "The Great Rohit Joshi Incident") --- included is the "Lakeside Resort" con-job plus the Palm Beach "Polo Fields". You'll really get a laugh out of how easy it was to con the commission into believing that stuff. They are just stupefied, and ripe (as usual) for the BIG kill!
This writer did experience a very interesting event that took place during Joshi's tenure with HIS office in City Hall. He invited a developer to meet with him AT NIGHT in City Hall. The developer, himself, questioned the legality of such a meeting between private individuals in that particular PUBLIC building. Too bad we don't have a City Attorney with the same ethical approach. At least that developer, along with some others respect the taxpayers' rights within the City. Too bad elected PUBLIC OFFICIALS and CITY MANAGEMENT DON'T !

Joshi trailer rolled out of PahrumpThe building has left Pahrump. The trailer that played a key role in former Town Manager Mike Cosgrove's The building has left Pahrump. The trailer that played a key role in former Town Manager Mike Cosgrove's departure and sparked a criminal investigation into town government was towed back to Las Vegas Thursday morning. The trailer was prepared for transport by AA Mobile Home Services earlier this week, placed on wheels and hauled down Highway 160 north to Highway 95 by a pair of truckers and two pilot cars. "Not us," said interim Town Manager Peggy Warner, when asked who paid for the trailer's removal. The town board last week voted unanimously to order the trailer's removal. To that end, town attorney Len Smith penned two demand letters, one to GE Capital Modular Space, the Las Vegas company which rented the trailer to Charleston Associates, LLC in care of Rohit Joshi, who received the second letter. Joshi was to be the developer of Silver Star Studios, a movie company that planned on building in Pahrump. Joshi and the Pahrump Town Board |
How Rohit Joshi ever got a foothold in the City of Winter Springs, with his schemes, is still an ongoing mystery. Just who was really involved? There was NEVER a "NAY VOTE" against his actions! The City Manager had to be the key player in this developer's con-job. They even ran a background check on Joshi before his high-handed ventures, and found ALL that we had also dug up as far as his California and Los Vegas escapades, but they --- the Commission, Mayor, City Manager, and yes, even the Tuscawilla Homeowners Board of Directors, fell for his line of sheer farces as if they were real.
Publisher's Note: The "NAY" vote issue would not have been allowed if the City Manager thought the agenda item could be questioned. This happened as an example at the January 9th Commission meeting even with a 2ND AMENDED AGENDA presented by the City Manager who removed at meeting time two of the highly contested items for possible fear of the voting outcome. This is not an unusual event, by any means. in the City of Winter Springs, when the outcome of an issue could be highly criticized. He always counts his agenda item votes prior to placing them in jeopardy for lack of support. His "hidden" agenda items (not made public in time) is a common affair.
So it is easy to see just how ignorant your public officials can be at times. We don't have to name them -- most are still floating around in their own little kingdom. Some feel they are so great they seek higher echelons of government, or even re-election to their past positions. When are the voting people of Winter Springs going to wake up, and smell the concrete they're pouring over your City?
It is found to be very astounding that Mr. Rohit Joshi was hired and used City privileges at the time of a criminal background investigation was going on. So much for the City's "background checks"! Has anyone on the current dais had a background check run on them, or did they manage to weasel out of the issue? PFGG knows EXACTLY what background check was run on the city manager.
Wake up City of Winter Springs citizens -- this is an election year !
