It makes one wonder why we even bother to vote. Naively, we cast our vote for a Commissioner, hoping that, finally, we can have someone who will look out for the citizens' quality of life in Winter Springs. Sadly, all we get is another Commissioner who will rubber-stamp the City Manager's plans to cement over our city. The only ones who gain are the developers and the chosen few contractors who benefit by no-bid contracts. I do not remember ever having a City Architect, do you? There is one firm who gets all the projects in this City.

Our illustrious Commissioners, in the past few meetings, have approved developments for putting 65 families on 5 acres, and now 185 families on 15 acres. Do a little math, and you can see how many cars (at an average of 2 cars per family) are being added to our roads, which are being overtaxed with the existing traffic.

There is never one dissension on the dais as to the destruction of our woodlands. Whatever Mr. McLemore puts forth is unanimously approved. Complaints are ignored, since the almighty dollar of taxes must be attained, to the detriment of the citizenry. His consistent hidden taxing public agendas are applied with skill of a mortician draining blood from cadavers. The "public" remains were cosmetically disguised for aesthetical viewing only.

It's a shame the "politicians" of today have become such pawns --- as predicted by ancient philosophers.)
