INCUMBENTS FAILING IN VOTING BOOTHS FOR GROWTH MIS-MANAGEMENT AND BUILDER'S GREED!
All around Central Florida the voter's have taken special notice of candidates supported by the influence of money contributions from developers, builders, realtors, management companies, and businesses who have their hands in the pockets of politicians, or are seeking political favors for the uncontrolled growth around Central Florida. The most visible story would be the race in Seminole County for a vacated commission seat was a the defeat of the commissioner from Winter Springs seeking that County position.
Winter Springs commissioner Blake who NEVER had to run a campaign while seated for almost ten years as a city commissioner spent thousands of campaign dollars, mostly contributed by the development groups as described above, only to find himself totally rejected by the very people he had represented for all those years. That along with his negative campaigning, and the untruth statements of claims to fame --- brought him down.
Out of the thirteen (13) precincts in Winter Springs he manage to barely carry even three (3) of those. The rest where all vastly in favor of his opponent --- of which one where the opponent had little recognition overwhelmingly voted against Blake by over a 65% majority, because of Blake's support for VAST growth within their community of condos and etc. while letting the infrastructure deteriorate.
Blake was but one of the three of the McLemore "rat-pack" running for re-election. Two more of McLemore's "raging-rodents" are still seeking their same seats in order to continue along the planned direction of "over-growth" as outlined by McLemore and his developers contacts. After all --- if you read the link [ 1620 Eagle Nest Circle ] you will notice McLemore's chance to reap great monetary rewards for real-estate development --- especially in the areas of affordable housing and condos now being touted by your current City government of Winter Springs. Just look at all the condos and apartment arising around your neighborhoods.
The lessons below --- obviously learned by EX- commissioner Blake -- stand TRUE for the other TWO current City of Winter Springs politicians trying to hold on to their current seats. They have to --- they have too much invested, and too much to lose should they not be re-elected. All three have served the same pattern of development and growth as outlined by their boss McLemore, and NONE have voted against ANY of the projects !
Now --- the mayor may say -- "I don't vote" -- but he CAN veto, or even voice an opinion prior to passage of ANY pattern of growth detrimental to the residents of Winter Springs. Has He ? No -- NEVER --- nor even voiced an opinion supporting the vocal opposition by citizens. Definitely in the pockets of developers at all costs.
The Winter Springs Golf Course is a fine example of his support of developers. The city could have bought it for LESS than what they paid for the Wincey property (per acre) for the expansion of their continued commercialization of the taxpayers' Central Winds Park.

Un-Ethical Lesson #3 by Blake ! Campaign Contributions sought for favors and power contributed to the downfall of this candidate. The full story was told on his financial reports. Even the returning of money contributed by his buddy city manager McLemore showed his dishonesty in soliciting campaign contributions. When that money was exposed on this website as being from McLemore as the agent for a "Gay Guide for Business listings, real estate, and mortgage lenders" in the City of Winter Springs his claim of support by the Christian Coalition was DOOMED! It caused an uprising in that faction, because it was only Blake's campaign manager who made such a claim, and she turned out to be wrong. See -- [ 1620 Eagle Nest Circle ]
The Questionable Contributions ! It is now clear how the election is being bought. Why he found the Orange County contributions more lucrative was because of the home offices of builders, developers, contractors, and their attorney representing their projects in the City of Winter Springs. He actually had more contributions from outside Seminole County than within it's own borders, therefore vastly emphasizing exactly the "special" interest groups he favored.
Endorsement Bloopers -- Blake ? Blake's endorsements put a question on his Black Hammock sincerity since most ALL of his endorsements support huge growth and development. All of the City of Winter Springs incumbents seeking re-election, plus a former ex-commissioner seeking to regain a commission seat being vacated are laden by the contributions of developers, or in the Martinez case lusting for the financial gain he voted for as a commissioner. That's the reason he moved back to Winter Springs in an area not affected by "special" assessment taxes he voted for and supported. He's cheap! See --- [ He's Ba-a-a-ck ].
Attack Dog Candidate -- Blake Little "White Lies" -- Now Showing -- as "BIG" BLACK lies ! His property tax figures must have been a dream of his that he wish he had never published. There's not a property owner in the City of Winter Springs who could have believe his figures on that big blunder. Maybe his campaign manager must have dream up those figures for they sure didn't correspond with the rising property taxes in the city.
Blake & Bush Whacked ! Black Hammock in Jeopardy ! Actually this was a pipe dream to try and get on the good side of the voting public. It was the City of Winter Springs who sued the voters of Seminole County who had stopped Winter Springs from their aggressive annexation into other areas of the County. It was Blake who took the credit for the "arrangement" to settle the Black Hammock issue, but actually ALL the incumbents running for re-election had to get out of that black-eye they put forth when the sued the voters of the County. That included BUSH and McGinnis! They know the citizens of Winter Springs would massacre them for the money spent on their silly lawsuit at the taxpayer's expense just to continue "boss" McLemore's desires.
Winter Springs Politics Reach Into Cesspool ! Blake Grasping To Gain Recognition ! He had no were to run. He was in water over his head. Remember he never had to campaign for an office before. He was like most of the current commissioners --- walk-ons! They had always had the developers' money behind them, and the city supported all their illegal campaign activities.
The Blake/McLemore Staged Dialog ! Benefits' City Manager's Pension "PLANS". Even the dialog on the dais was staged by McLemore and Blake. One only had to read, or listen to the minutes to see how Blake misguided the rest of the commission right into the hands of McLemore when it came down to his exorbitant retirement plan. The highest in the State of Florida. Blake asked just "the right question" without going into full detail to misguide the overall compensation plan. It must have been scripted by McLemore.
False Candidate Flyers -- No End From Blake ! Blake's campaign bombarded the mails with false campaign flyers making claims of non-non-existent bogus figures, and issue facts. It was hard not to laugh at them they were so blatantly false. Evidently his campaign manager just took verbatim word from Blake without anything to back up his claims. That's her mistake. She now proves to be an unreliable campaign manager --- especially that phony coalition endorsement she drew up. The Blake campaign contributors can hang their head in shame for having spent over $120,000 dollars for such false materials. But -- they got what they deserved -- his defeat!

SO -- you can see -- it doesn't take anything to be a politician. Just take all the "special interest" money you can, and spend it on making up lies. There's even an ex-city commissioner trying to get back into the money game again. Martinez moved back to Winter Springs to be able to join his buddies on raking in some of the dough they stand to make for deceiving the public (he voted as a non-resident of Winter Springs while a commissioner, and everyone in city hall knew it) -- as usual !
The best thing the voters can do is find someone that is NOT a politician, that has NEVER held an office, that a neighbor, a friend, or a least some one that can be trusted, and have them run for an office. The voters should then vote for those people who's pictures are not splashed all over tax paid websites and literature, and vote for them. At least that would be a FRESH and HONEST start.

The Incumbents have to go !
