THE MAYOR WHO USES TAXPAYERS' MONEY FOR HIS RE-ELECTION !
As long as Bush is on the campaign trail the above picture has been found on the taxpayer's City of Winter Springs website, and in the taxpayers' City periodical called "The Insider" items of which are the most blatant mis-use of taxpayers' money in the history of politics in the City of Winter Springs by the current mayor.
Bush has even used the water bills sent to every home and business within the City of Winter Springs. The letters in the bills had NOTHING to do with anything about utilities, but instead the golf course and trees. Then of course it had his "NAME and SIGNATURE". One letter was even a campaign rebuttal --- at taxpayers expense!
In the first place the picture that is used in Bush's campaign, and was taken at his Tuscawilla Country Club where he and commissioner Don Gilmore can be seen weekly golfing together. It can be truthfully said "their country club" because of city actions favoring the club. Just take the cell tower episode for one. They could've made the citizens money, but chose their country club instead to gain ALL the rental revenue.
Now he has claimed he paid the city for the insertion of this picture on the taxpayers' website. where it shouldn't be in the first place, but he has yet to back up his mouth with a copy of the so-called transaction/check. This is just another "political" hot-air claim. Bush is famous for this type of tactic!
Here's a guy who lays the blame for everything on the commission by merely saying ---- "I didn't vote on it" -- when in essence, as mayor, he could VETO any thing he DISAGREES with, or DISLIKES. Not this City of Winter Springs mayor for he, and his city manager have already run through the exercise BEFORE going to the commission to make sure they've covered all the loop-holes ------ drummed up in the backroom.
The following propaganda was also used on the website with his picture ---
"During his tenure as Mayor the city started the planning of the Town Center, the Fourth of July Celebration, the beautification of State Road 434, and was instrumental in keeping the taxes in Winter Springs the lowest in Seminole County. He quickly became one of the most respected Mayors in the history of Winter Springs."
Let's break down some facts about the above spiel issued by Bush --- the respected part then goes out the window ---- as does other segments of that above slanted view ---
First of all -- there wasn't even ANYTHING on the drawing board reflecting any segment of a so-called "Towncenter" as he claims above. That didn't happen until current city manager came on board the city payroll in January of 1997, and hired his own South Florida consultants.
Bush wasn't even the mayor. HE HAD BEEN BEATEN BY A FORMER COMMISSIONER --- PAUL P. PARTYKA! So much for "quickly respected ". How about "quickly dumped "? In fact, if some of Partyka's supporters hadn't been conned by the Bush campaign in the next election ---- Bush would have NEVER won again! Bush never kept his promises.
It was during the next reign of the Bush administration that property taxes took the climb to being the lowest in the county to next to the highest. Bush did NOTHING to stop the rise, or even lend support for the citizens suffering the city's need for money to cover it's spending frenzy.
Remember --- Bush didn't come back into power until 1999. Taxes started really going up in 2000 when the city had to shell out more money (without the citizens knowing) for the Towncenter! That's when Bush's "respect " really DIDN'T came into play --- WHAT IS THIS "RESPECT" STUFF ?
That is from just a TWO sentence statement the mayor has inserted in the taxpayers' city website. PFGG is going to go back into time --- like Bush's 2002 campaign piece mailed to just the eastside Tuscawilla residents --- which point out the inaccuracies of that particular flyer. Why it was not challenged by his opponents is an unknown. Bush left plenty of room to challenge his statement for his accusations where in fact -- NOT TRUE ! Yet, this is the man claiming to be your "respected" mayor.
What follows is other insertions in the current city productions of the taxpayers' website and the "Insider" publication in which is cleverly inserted other elements of re-election material pointed directly in the direction of current members of the city government seeking re-election.
It is so blatant that any voter within the City of Winter Springs would have the absolute authority to issue a complaint to the State of Florida Elections Commissions to point out the mis-use of tax supported material for a candidates re-election efforts. But the best way to rid the City of Winter Springs of these unethical practices is to oust those incumbents from office --- for good !
Bush started back in 2002 with one of the craziest political flyers ever produced.
It proved this man was on a devious mission with his comparisons !
