ALL Winter Springs incumbents elction contributions looked like the sample below. Campaigns WERE bought by developers.
If they listened, it certainly was not to citizens, but to the developers who padded their campaign war chests. Below is a prime example:
Michael Blake was the biggest proponent behind the large-scale plan amendment to change the land use on over 47 acres from light industrial to medium density residential between Shepard Road and Florida Avenue in Winter Springs. This amendment was filed by Keewin Real Property Company of 1031 Morse Boulevard, Suite 325, Winter Park Florida, Keewin Real Property Company is owned by Allan E. Keen. Blake’s involvement with this amendment extends well before the public knew about the proposed land use change. After pushing through the large-scale plan amendment and two smaller scale ones during a series of “public hearings”, Blake was rewarded by Keen and his associates for a job well done.
Below is a list of $3,250 worth of contributions Blake received from various associates and companies of Allan Keen after Blake voted to transmit and approve ordinances for the large-scale amendment. These are just the contributions that PFGG knows about to date. There are probably more hidden on the filed reports that are connected to the Keewin Large-Scale Plan Amendment deal. And there probably more to come on Blake’s yet to be filed reports.
